Southern California Edison Talent Acquisition, Manager in Irwindale, California

Southern California Edison (SCE) is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager. In this role, you will utilize your strategic thinking, subject matter expertise, and people management skills to lead a team of Talent Acquisition professionals. Responsibilities include delivering Talent Acquisition services effectively, developing and implementing strategic hiring plans to meet the hiring needs of multiple operational units, and innovating and improving Talent Acquisition plans and programs in response to industry trends and other developments.

Responsibilities

  • Leads talent mapping and workforce planning activities, conducting talent market research and analysis to identify emerging skills trends, talent shortages, and competitive threats in the labor market

  • Maintains knowledge of best practices, regulations, and effective recruiting practices and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local legal requirements

  • Develops and drives the implementation of the strategic talent acquisition plan aligning to regional, and business objectives

  • Sets the direction of corporate, experienced hiring and lead a team of talent acquisition specialists to deliver sourcing solutions within budget and timeline requirements

  • Develops and implements the attraction and resourcing strategy for the assigned client group, making recommendations to ensure that the strategy reflects commitment to the candidate experience

  • Utilizes data-driven insights and metrics to assess recruitment effectiveness, track key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions to optimize processes and achieve hiring targets

  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies, educational institutions, professional associations, and industry networks

  • Provides strategic guidance and support on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and recruitment-related issues to senior leadership, HR stakeholders, and business leaders

  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years combined experience performing or leading a talent acquisition function.

  • Experience in full-cycle recruitment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in:

  • Hiring for various roles, including senior level, technical, and hard-to fill positions

  • Sourcing candidates through multiple channels, including social media, job boards, networking events, and employee referrals

  • Applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR software, and various recruitment tools

  • Supports a continuous improvement mindset on all aspects of the recruiting process

Additional Information

  • This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
