Key Responsibilities

  • Achieves or exceeds sales objectives in assigned geography for Akynzeo®, and a new oncology therapeutic as the product portfolio grows.

  • Effectively communicates and promotes customer agreements/contracts to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Works closely with National Account Managers to incorporate Clinic and Hospital GPO, Distributors, Large Clinics strategic imperatives.

  • Maintains a productive and compliant working relationship with our partners.

  • Develops strategically targeted account-specific business plans that reflect an in-depth understanding of local market forces.

  • Works closely with cross-functional partners to develop long-term relationships with key accounts and stakeholders within the marketplace.

  • Creates, builds, and maintains relationships with key decision makers, administrators, and other influential personnel at targeted accounts.

  • Understands national and local reimbursement policies for the assigned region.

  • Manages time, resources and workload in an effective manner.

  • Demonstrates strong analytical abilities to ensure the appropriate focus is placed in the right areas of the market.

  • Demonstrates ability to adjust to changing strategies to support corporate and/or brand.

  • Effectively differentiates and sells the clinical benefits of Helsinn promoted brands.

  • Creates and manages relationships with key regional accounts and with regional Oncology Sales Representatives.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of sales, sales management with 5+ years in account management in the pharmaceutical industry, with biotech or specialty care experience preferred.

  • Proven track record for delivering consistent sales results.

  • Experience with physician-administered (buy and bill) injectable drug a must, with hematology/oncology experience preferred.

  • Oral drug experience a plus.

  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

  • Strong understanding of contracting and the business of Oncology while also supporting Akynzeo clinically with targeted accounts.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, cross-functional environment.

  • Ability to develop and grow strong professional relationships.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite-excel, word, and ppt.

  • Knowledge and experience of the legal and compliance framework related to the pharma/biotech industries.

  • Must be able to travel extensively throughout the regional geography, approximately 60% of the time.

  • Must be able to show proof of a valid driver’s license.

Education:

Bachelors of Science, pharmacy, marketing, business, or related field is required

Master's degree or MBA desirable

As the portfolio of products grows, this role will expand to future products/indications. The position is also responsible for the creation, coordination and execution of strategic business plans for key accounts within the region based on market dynamics and business analytics. Responsibilities will include contract implementation and management, reimbursement support, development, clinical selling, and maintenance of strategic relationships with key decision makers (C-Suite, VP, Pharmacy Director, Medical Director, Billing and Reimbursement etc.) and identification of emerging trends and Oncology care models within assigned accounts and within the Oncology market.
