Costco Wholesale Corporation is seeking a Full Stack Engineer for its Issaquah, Washington office.

Job Duties: Perform software development work across the Analytics and Data Science stack. Support the design of the overall architecture of a software product/application, applying principles that promote availability, reusability, interoperability, and security into the design framework. Perform development, debugging, optimization, and automation activities to support the implementation of a software product/application. Deliver high quality and scalable software solutions utilizing engineering best practices. Participate in scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospective, showcases/demos, stand-ups, backlog refinement, etc.). Create and execute unit tests which validate the code changes made to support the implementation of a user story. Detect/recognize software defects early in the development process utilizing test driven development (TDD) practices. Identify deficiencies within a product/application's code-base and identify opportunities to improve overall code quality. Define project specifications and release documentation for all phases of the product development cycle from product definition to design, through implementation. Conduct peer code reviews for the software changes made by other engineers within a team. Telecommuting permitted.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field. Plus one year of experience in: Programming with technology including XML, Java, JavaScript frameworks, and SQL queries; Working with databases such as DB2, SQL Server or Oracle; Performing development, optimization, and automation activities to support the implementation of a product/application; Applying design framework and principles to the design of the overall product/application architecture; Software testing and defect detection; and Working with UI frameworks/libraries such as Angular and React.

In lieu of a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field, plus one year of experience as described above, employer will accept three years of experience in: Programming with technology including XML, Java, JavaScript frameworks, and SQL queries; Working with databases such as DB2, SQL Server or Oracle; Performing development, optimization, and automation activities to support the implementation of a product/application; Applying design framework and principles to the design of the overall product/application architecture; Software testing and defect detection; and Working with UI frameworks/libraries such as Angular and React.
