Robert Half Tax Director/Manager - Corporate in Itasca, Illinois

Description

We are on the hunt for an experienced Tax Director/Manager - Corporate based in ITASCA, Illinois, United States. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in leading the management and coordination of tax-related information, developing and executing comprehensive tax strategies, and ensuring adherence to international and domestic tax regulations. This position provides an opportunity to contribute significantly to our team's success and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the management and coordination of tax-related information with external firms

• Develop and execute comprehensive tax strategies to support organizational objectives

• Ensure adherence to international and domestic tax regulations

• Guide the selection and integration of tax software solutions

• Initiate the development of an internal tax function, including team building and management

• Manage relationships with a variety of external tax service providers

• Handle tax considerations in mergers and acquisitions, as well as operational tax matters

• Work closely with external partners to ensure seamless tax compliance and alignment with strategies

• Conduct contract reviews and negotiations related to tax collections and compliance

• Offer expertise in sales and use tax, international VAT, and deferred tax management

• Utilize skills in U.S. International Tax and International Tax Compliance to enhance job performance.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role as Tax Director or Manager in a corporate setting.

• Proficiency in U.S. International Tax is required.

• Expertise in International Tax Compliance is mandatory.

• Strong leadership skills to manage and direct a team.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to develop strategic tax planning solutions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate tax laws and regulations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.

• A certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA) certification is highly desirable.

• Proven track record of managing large-scale tax projects.

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.

• Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy and precision.
