Description

Olivia Quinlan from Robert Half is hiring for a IT Specialist (Tier III & IV) based in the Ithaca, New York region (open to surrounding area offices). This role involves providing the highest level of support for user issues, identifying needs for modifications or new features, and working on product design, code, or specifications. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing fixes or modifications to existing functionality and documenting these for use by Tier I and Tier II teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier III support, the highest level of support available to users for issue resolution

• Work on product design, code, or specifications to define root causes of user issues

• Develop fixes or modifications to existing functionality as part of the resolution process

• Document developed fixes or modifications for use by Tier I and Tier II teams

• Specialize in the program or application, with the potential to include those who created, architected, or developed it

• Utilize skills in Android Development, Database, EO/IR systems, and Computer Hardware among others

• Manage Configuration Management, Deployments, Basic Troubleshooting, and Hardware Troubleshooting

• Implement Hardware & Software Installation, Application Deployments, Deployment Methodologies, Deployment Plan, Deployment Automation, and Deployment Processes

• Handle Desktop deployment, ADUC - Users & Computers, User Access, User Account Creation, and User Administration

• Liaise with Vendor Suppliers, External Vendor, Hardware Vendors, and manage System Backups and Backup administration

• Oversee Database Backup and ensure efficient operations

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

• Knowledge of Computer Hardware and Configuration Management

• Experience in Deployments and Basic Troubleshooting

• Ability to troubleshoot Hardware and Basic Network

• Experience in Hardware & Software Installation

• Understanding of Application Deployments and Deployment Methodologies

• Knowledge of Deployment Plan, Deployment Automation, and Deployment Processes

• Experience in Desktop deployment

• Familiarity with ADUC - Active Directory Users & Computers

• Ability to manage User Access, User Account Creation, and User Administration

• Experience working with Vendor Suppliers, External Vendor, and Hardware Vendors

• Understanding of System Backups and Backup administration

• Knowledge of Database and Database Backup

• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools

• Relevant certifications and qualifications would be advantageous.
