Visiting Assistant Professor (German Literary and Cultural Studies)

The Department of German Studies at Cornell University invites applications for a three-semester Visiting Assistant Professor position, starting Jan. 1, 2025.Preference given to candidates whose work in literary studies, cultural studies, and/or critical theory focuses on the 20th and 21st centuries.

The successful candidate will teach two courses per semester at a range of levels, including advanced courses in German and outreach courses in English.

Ph.D. in German Studies or a closely related field; active research profile; substantial teaching experience; as well as excellent German and English language competence required.

[Pay Range:$90,000 - $100,000]

Actual salary offers in the College of Arts and Sciences will be based on education, experience, discipline, and relevant skills.
