This position is for a Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver with a company in Burnsville, MS.

Summary: We are currently seeking a full-time heavy-duty wrecker driver for short and long-distance towing. This position requires a Class A CDL, clean driving record and a flexible schedule. We are looking for someone who is dependable and professional.  Mechanical experience is a plus. 

Duties and Responsibilities: Safely operate a conventional tow truck in relocating vehicles from one location to another. Ensure safety compliance to include vehicle strapping and engagement, the use of dolly equipment, wheel jacks and vehicle security. Respond to all dispatched call requests in a timely manner. Conduct pre-trip truck Inspections before and after shifts. Assist customers with various emergency road services to include jump starts, lock outs, winch outs and towing services.

Skills: Mechanic; Ability to operate light and heavy equipment. General operating knowledge to include jump starts tire changing and lock outs, etc. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Authority law enforcement personnel, staff customers, vendors, and the general public. Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills. Skills should also include problem solving skills, basic math skills, ability to prepare simple forms, keep equipment clean and orderly.

Qualifications: Working knowledge of tow truck equipment and procedures preferred. Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and the responsibilities of the position. Must possess a valid state issued Class A CDL license and acceptable driving record with 1 years' experience. General knowledge of basic maintenance processes, safety standards, and equipment usages.
