What’s the job?

The Electrical Maintenance Technician ensures the proper functioning of electrical systems and equipment within the plant.- The ideal candidate should have a strong electrical background in troubleshooting electrical equipment including PLC’s, motor controls, temperature controls and other equipment up to 480 volts in a manufacturing environment.

Hours: Work a core schedule of M-F 5:30am – 2:00pm, some OT

Duties:

• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of electrical processes, systems, and controls to improve safety, quality and efficiency

• Assist in answering line calls from production to troubleshoot electrical and extrusion problems

• Create electrical schematics and blueprints for new electrical installations and update existing blueprints

• Participate in project teams for new equipment installations and capital improvement, sourcing vendors, issuing purchase orders, etc.

What do you bring?

• Hands on experience with industrial controls, engineering practices

• 5 years of experience – hands on experience with HMIs, PLCs, motion controls, Rockwell (Control Logix, Factory Talk), ethernet/IP and Modbus communication networks

• Specific Technologies: Familiar with Allen Bradley PLC, Auto-Cad, SAP

• Electrical Journeyman’s Card

• Understanding of NEC and NFPA70E
