As a Medical Lab Technician, at Merit Health Central, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best-providing quality care to our patients!

About The Job:

  • The Medical Lab Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic quality routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests according to pre-established guidelines.

  • Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience.

  • Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance procedures and maintains records and statistical data according to regulatory requirements.

Education/Requirements:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician, MLT (ASCP), or CLT (NCA) or equivalent is required.

  • Experience: One (1) year of Medical Laboratory experience is preferred.

  • Requires graduation from a Medical Lab Technician program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

  • PRN -as needed

  • Available to work weekends/holidays
