This is a job for a Production Supervisor with a company in the Jackson, MS area.

Responsibilities: Train and coach employees to operate equipment safely in their respective job assignments and follow all safety / equipment SOP's. Lead, support and hold employees accountable to produce high quality products. Monitor production to eliminate defects ensuring the customer receives a quality, defect free product. Monitor scrap and execute plans to minimize scrap in all areas. Responsible for shift OEE and optimal equipment output. Write and give employee performance reviews and when necessary, administer disciplinary action. Supports Lean, 5S, and World Class initiatives.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of 3-5 years of manufacturing supervisor or lead coordinator experience is required. Previous experience in a Lean manufacturing environment to include Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Kanban and Root Cause Analysis is highly desired. Safety and quality oriented with a focus on continuous improvement. Must have good organizational skills and be detail oriented. Ability to schedule production. Must be self-motivated and can motivate others. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be flexible with schedule and able to work any shift.
