JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY: Our Forklift Operators are responsible for completing daily warehouse functions that satisfy SupplyOne\'s and our Customer\'s requirements and expectations. They safely operate an industrial forklift to accomplish various material handling assignments. The chosen candidate\'s expertise is essential to our employee\'s safety and SupplyOne\'s success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environments * Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets * Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport * Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas * Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from hazards * Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages * Using scanners to ensure accurate loads and updated inventory * Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacking of inventory * Scan and physically move corrugated and comsumable units throughout the warehouse * Split load tags and break down units according to customer requirements and specifications * Load and unload trailers accurately and safely * Utilize back log reports, daily shipping logs and load tag notes to carry out customer\'s loading requirements * Use protective materials and strapping equipment to secure loads * Follow all Safety and Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines * Keep area clean and hazard free QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: * Accurate data entry is required for recording receipts and machine/product data into system * Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy * Ability to use a utility knife * Ability to apply concepts of high school level math * Must be able to read and interpret job tickets and ask questions when in doubt * Ability to work in a timely and productive manner, using problem solving techniques, and meet customer needs * Must pass the post-offer pre-employment physical and criminal background check PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls * Ability to bend or twist body * Sit and stand for long periods of time * Ability to get on and off the forklift * Professionally communicate with co-workers and vendors daily * Ability to lift to 25 lbs The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
