$19/hour

1st shift Monday-Thursday 6 am-4 pm

What’s a typical day as a Packer? You’ll be

Packager

The Packager position is responsible for ensuring product is up to all requirements and customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Safety, and Food safety requirements are met and follow all plantwide GMPs.

  • Measure, weigh, and count and package products and materials.

  • Examines and inspects containers, materials, and products in order to ensure proper specifications are followed.

  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.

  • Responsible for following proper procedures in regards to defective products or materials.

  • Reports all food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initial action.

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and relates in a positive manner when interacting with all personnel.

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Understand and comply with all HACCP, Allergen, Environmental, regulatory and customer demands and requirements.

  • Working knowledge of allergen segregation.

  • Maintains a safe & clean work environment & departmental housekeeping standards.

  • Understand and comply with all GMP requirements for the manufacturing of food-safe products.

  • Adhere to assigned shift and break schedule.

  • Working knowledge of allergen segregation.

  • Knowledge of CIP job related responsibilities.

  • Responsible to adhere to quality system requirements.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.

• Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

• Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.

• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion.

• Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be able to work in uncomfortable environments including hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur. Possible exposure to nut allergens.

• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required..
