Description We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. The CFO will play a pivotal role in overseeing our company's financial operations and strategic financial planning. The CFO will collaborate with the executive team on strategic initiatives, manage financial reporting and analysis, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the CEO and other executives on strategic initiatives and decisions

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for review at the executive and board level

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial laws, and reporting requirements

• Manage annual budgeting processes and conduct financial forecasting to guide strategic decisions

• Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them

• Oversee cash flow management to ensure company's liquidity and investment goals are met

• Manage the company's investment portfolio and assess investment opportunities

• Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations, including tax laws and reporting requirements

• Oversee finance and accounting teams

• Act as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and other stakeholders, ensuring accurate and transparent information is provided

• Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships from a financial perspective and participate in due diligence processes

• Lead and mentor finance/accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Requirements

• Applicant should possess a minimum of three years of experience in a CFO or similar role.

• Proficiency in financial reporting is required.

• Demonstrable skills in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) are essential.

• Experience in budgeting and forecasting is necessary.

• Applicant should have experience with month-end close procedures.

• Strong skills in cash flow management are required.

• Experience in construction industry accounting required

• Applicant must have experience in managing investor relations.

• Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and advanced degreed (MBA, MAcc, etc.) strongly preferred

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
