Digital Delivery Specialist - Autodesk

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a candidate to fill the full-time Digital Delivery Specialist for the Autodesk product platforms. This team member will be expected to take a leading role in the advancement of Hanson's overall site design and modeling using Civil 3D, InfraWorks and other current and developing packages. Additionally, the ideal applicant will be passionate about the development, implementation, and enforcement of CAD standards within the civil engineering production environment.

This position is targeted for a Hanson office in the State of Florida (Jacksonville, Orlando, Miami, Sarasota, Tallahassee), but is not limited to those locations. Ability will take precedence over geography for this position.

Position Profile

As the Digital Delivery Specialist-Autodesk, you will be the subject matter expert for 3-D modeling using the Civil 3D software and will champion our move toward digital project delivery. You will help to create and implement training for current and future staff, develop and disseminate best practices, support users on project specific needs, and create quality control review procedures. This person is expected to work closely with our IT support team, especially our Information Technology Manager, and collaborate with project managers, design task managers and experts within Hanson. This position is expected to share time between supporting other Civil 3D users, serving as lead modeler and CAD specialist on projects, and other duties as assigned.

Digital Delivery Administrator - Autodesk Duties

Implementation

• Serve as Civil 3D expert and become a site modeling specialist.

• Be a champion for digital delivery at Hanson and help with project pursuits as needed.

• Develop/provide feedback on scope, hours, and schedule for Civil 3D projects requiring the creation of detailed models.

• Develop/assist markets and practices with development of CAD standards and details, implementing a practical, productive environment flexible enough to work across clients, industries and varying regions within Hanson.

• Develop and advise on quality assurance procedures.

• Develop training processes to instruct technical management in tools for quality reviews of modeled elements.

• Potentially assist our quality group with quality surveillances and audits.

Software Users

• Function as a resource for our Civil 3D by leading the respective user group, with support from other Hanson users and software user groups, and external support services.

• Create 3D models, troubleshoot 3D models created by others, and provide clear direction using proven methods for the creation of new 3D models.

• Develop Autodesk product training guidelines.

• Help identify internal Civil 3D expertise and provide development feedback for internal users.

• Develop and maintain guidance on best practices for users.

Software Deployment

• Collaborate with IT, Discipline Managers, and Practice Leads for equipment, software, and training.

• Work with our IT group on client needs and workspace updates.

• Develop guidance on best practices / recommended approaches for Civil 3D based projects in collaboration with stakeholders.

External Engagement

• Remain involved within the industry to stay current with software, technology, and other advancements. This may include attending seminars and conferences as well as reading technical articles & journals or participating on technical committees.

• As an expert in the industry identify opportunities to contribute to/present at seminars, conferences, and journals.

• Seek out and report back on new trends related to digital delivery and how Hanson can provide added value to our clients.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and InfraWorks software.

• Demonstrated experience with preparation of site civil plans and standards and Municipal/Local Government transportation standards and related discipline projects.

• Demonstrated commitment to quality control procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to learn, adapt, and look to the future.

• Demonstrated ability and passion for training new and historic users of Autodesk software.
