BAE Systems Emergency Medical Technician in Jacksonville, Florida

Job Description

We are looking for an organized, experienced, and dexterous medical technician to join our growing medical team in our facility at our Jacksonville Florida Ship Repair Facility. You will collect and prepare specimens for analysis and work with other medical providers to ensure determined results are accurate. You may also be asked to test and analyze samples and specimens on diagnostic machinery.

Collect specimens from lab or directly from patient.

Prepare and test specimens, including blood, urine, tissue, and/or other bodily fluids

Perform hands-on tasks with using assessment and evaluation skills, blood sugars, including preparing and sterilizing the area, applying pressure, and dressing when needed, providing first-aid care.

Monitor vital signs when working directly with patients.

Analyze and report specimen test results.

Process, record, and analyze tested data as necessary.

Enter information into medical databases.

Work under the supervision of and report to the medical supervisor.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Medical Training on an EMS type service

CPR Certified

Computer literate

Able to work databases/spreadsheets

Experienced in using Microsoft Word

Excellent manual dexterity and high attention to detail

Must be able to obtain an maintain DBIDS access card

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Completed EMT/Paramedic school

EMT/Paramedic License

A strong science background in anatomy and biology.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $33010 - $56098

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
