Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

This position will be working in the metal fabrication department in the manufacturing facility. The CNC Machine Operator will be required to operate metal fabrication machinery including CNC press brake, CNC turret press, CNC shear, and CNC punch press. The operator will spend the entire day working on the same machine and will be responsible for bending, shaping, punching, and cutting metal to specifications. Additionally, they will read blueprints and use a tape measure to ensure accuracy. The operator will also need to load and unload their machine by hand.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC press brake, CNC turret press, CNC shear, and CNC punch press

• Bend, shape, punch, and cut metal to specifications

• Read blueprints and use a tape measure

• Load and unload machines by hand

• Work independently on assigned machine

Essential Skills

• CNC machine operation

• Manufacturing and production experience

• Ability to read blueprints

• Proficiency with tape measure

• Experience with brake press, press brake, shear press, and punch press

Work Environment

This is a large, open bay production facility with multiple work stations and bays. The production floor is not climate controlled but has industrial-sized ceiling fans to keep the air moving. There is no air conditioning. The environment includes forklift and manufacturing machinery, and employees will need to wear safety shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs if needed. The area around the CNC machinery and fabrication stations can be louder.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50
