SUMMARY:Responsible for applying a structured methodology to develop, implement and lead the change management strategy, plans and activities on assigned projects. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops and implements change management strategies to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative, and devises plans to maximize employee acceptance and usage and minimizes resistance. Assures projects relating to change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. Focuses on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology job roles and organization structures. Promotes speedy adoption, more employee utilization, and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. Acts as a change management subject matter expert (SME) and leads the support of change management objectives through the definition, development and execution of related methodologies, processes, and tools in accordance with organizational priorities. Leads and performs need, trend, feasibility, performance and readiness assessments to ensure business requirements are fulfilled, risks are mitigated, and value is optimized. Develops tactical change management plans that minimize disruption of normal business operations and employee resistance, as well as maximize employee engagement, alignment and ability with a future change state. Leads the development and execution of communication/engagement plans designed for organizational, regional and local audiences. Provides consultative services to leadership, individuals and teams responsible for executing the organization’s project portfolio. Anticipates internal/external business challenges and recommends and implements project and change management value opportunities, including policies, process optimization, and internal client relationship management improvements. Develops and facilitates training and evaluations for organizational change management standards, processes and tools. Maintains partnerships internal/external of the organization to maintain a unified approach to organizational change management, including the definition of roles and responsibilities within the organization. May directly or indirectly supervise employees and/or teams responsible for projects and change related activities. EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in organization development, business or a related field; or a combination of post high school education and related experience. Master’s degree preferred. EXPERIENCE:8 years’ experience in leadership roles in change and/or organizational change leadership. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. COMPETENCIES:Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to function effectively with, or as part of, a team. Ability to directly and indirectly mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees. Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict their impact on the organization. Ability to provide subject matter expertise, counsel, and effectively influence others at various levels within the organization. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking based on in-depth data and substantiating information. Ability to manage conflict and demonstrate courage to challenge organizational thinking and the status quo. Knowledge of and ability to conduct need, trend, feasibility and performance assessments. Knowledge of training methodology and the ability to develop and facilitate technical/operational training to others. Knowledge of and ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives. OTHER:Certification in PROSCI or other organizational change management methodology preferred. Familiarity with best practice standards for Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP). JOB SCOPE:Position impacts multiple business units/segments. WORKING CONDITIONS:Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
