Responsibilities

This operative experience within Otolaryngology (ENT) includes the full scope of adult Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Reconstructive Surgery includes facial reanimation, functional septorhinoplasty, and skin cancer reconstruction. Cosmetic surgery includes facial rejuvenation surgery like facelifts, eyelid lifts, rhinoplasty etc. Botox and filler training will be with graduated autonomy and willingness to market & recruit patients. Laser & RF treatments would need to be with Cosmetic Center approval. Will need to be able to willing and able to assist with Clinic, Clinic Procedure Room, and OR cases.

OR Duties: Shared duties with residents including but not limited to: Case order finalization, pre-operative orders, pre-op checklist completion, OR preparation, participation in critical portions of surgery, post-op orders, dismissal instructions, follow up orders

Case load: approx. 200-240 cases per year

During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.

Qualifications

Experience preferred but will consider new grads

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a ANP, ACNP.

Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.

Additional Qualifications:

BLS, ACLS and First Assist certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and DEA registration required

Schedule Details

NP/PA will be expected to be 1st assist in surgery, independently evaluate patient's in clinic, evaluate pre and postop surgical patients in the hospital and take call.

Weekend Schedule

Weekend call every 8th weekends. Can take call from home but will be expected to round with attending and come in for consults.
