Job Title: Plumbing Foreman

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Foreman with a minimum of 7+ years in commercial construction and at least 2+ years overseeing plumbing crews on commercial projects. This is a temp to perm position offering a competitive hourly rate. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage plumbing crews on commercial construction projects.

  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems according to specifications or plumbing codes.

  • Read blueprints and specifications to plan plumbing installations.

  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines.

  • Install, assemble, and secure pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using various joining techniques including couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment.

  • Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, preassembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components.

  • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.

  • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers, water heaters, sinks, and toilets.

  • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels.

  • Study building plans and inspect structures to assess materials and equipment needs and to plan installation sequences.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 7+ years of commercial construction experience.

  • At least 2+ years of experience overseeing plumbing crews on commercial projects.

  • Proficiency with PVC and CPVC pipes.

  • Must have own tools.

  • Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

  • Experience in rough-ins and trim/fixture installations.

  • Knowledge of domestic water and sanitary systems.

  • Ability to install fixtures, hangers, and pipe.

  • Experience with measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes.

  • Familiarity with installing, repairing pipes, fittings, or fixtures according to plumbing codes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have PPE.

  • Minor braze or soldering experience with copper pipes is a plus.

Work Environment

You will be working on new and active commercial construction job sites in Jacksonville. The sites are dynamic with multiple subcontractors working around each other, ensuring a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00
