Hyatt Sales Manager - Small Meetings Market in JACKSONVILLE, Florida

Our Group Sales Manager will be based out of Hyatt Regency Jacksonville and will have a market focused on our important small meetings market; 10-125 peak room nights. The Small Meetings Market Group Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of selling hotels. Responsibilities focus on strategizing the unique deployment of this market to include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, preparing road maps and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business.

What does the ROLE entail?

  • Selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to group business

  • Managing accounts with existing repeat customers

  • Conducting hotel site tours and soliciting and generating new business

  • Presenting effective proposals for customers

  • Maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate

  • Our Sales Manager will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meeting

  • Work as a team member with the events staff and will be in close contact with administrative and other support staff

Qualifications:

Your EXPERIENCE:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

  • Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in hotels sales or comparable experience is preferred

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth

  • Strong verbal and communication skills

  • Unafraid of sales related tasks, projects and responsibilities

  • A fun and energized person;

  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service

  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge

  • Aware of proper telephone etiquette
