Aerotek Service Plumber in JACKSONVILLE, Florida

Job Title : Service Plumber

Job Description : Join our dynamic team to work on commercial service projects in the Jacksonville area, handling both new and pre-existing construction plumbing duties. As a Service Plumber, you will be responsible for installing pipes inside buildings across various projects, each requiring knowledge of diverse plumbing materials and tools. Tasks include running PVC/CPVC piping, managing underground, domestic, and sewer piping. Candidates must be self-sufficient and able to work without supervision. You will also be expected to troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial buildings.

  • Run PVC/CPVC piping and manage underground, domestic, and sewer piping.

  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, ensuring systems are up to code.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Hard Skills :

  • 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience.

  • Proficiency in PVC, CPVC, and vent systems ranging from 4” to 2”.

  • Experience with water systems using CPVC from ¾ to ½ inch.

  • Skilled in brazing and soldering.

  • Ability to identify fittings and work off prints.

  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.

Soft Skills :

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Adaptability to different project requirements and environments.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Type : This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 months, with the potential for permanent employment based on performance.

Work Site : This is a fully on-site position in Jacksonville, Florida.

Work Environment : You will work on new construction and remodels of commercial structures such as schools, assisted living facilities, restaurants, multi-family complexes, and hotels. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Safety is a top priority, and all team members are expected to adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00
