We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team with our client. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy, and assisting with the month-end close process. This position requires working on-site at our Jacksonville, FL office, and the ideal candidate will be a team player with strong accounting skills, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general ledger accounts.

  • Support the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

  • Assist in preparing reports for senior management, auditors, and regulatory agencies as needed.

  • Help ensure compliance with all accounting policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support for decision-making.

  • Maintain and update financial records and reports for audits, tax filings, and internal purposes.

  • Review and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

  • Handle various ad-hoc financial projects and requests from management
