BECOME A SUPERVISOR!

The Supervisor for Aircraft Cleaning and Wheelchair Operations is responsible for supervising both the cleaning of aircraft interiors and wheelchair services at the airport. Responsibilities include training and leading teams, ensuring compliance with sanitation, safety, and quality standards, inspecting cleaned aircraft, managing supplies, and coordinating with airline and airport departments. The role focuses on delivering quality services for passengers with mobility challenges, resolving complex issues, and ensuring passenger satisfaction and regulatory compliance.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A SUPERVISOR

  • Manage and supervise the daily operations and activities of both aircraft cleaners and wheelchair service teams

  • Verify all procedures adhere to aviation standards, safety regulations, and ADA compliance

  • Ensure efficient scheduling and deployment of staff across various airport terminals

  • Train new staff in cleaning procedures, wheelchair handling, and customer service excellence

  • Inspect aircraft cabins for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues

  • Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and mobility aids, ensuring adequate stocks and proper functioning

  • Liaise with airline representatives, airport staff, and other relevant parties for service requirements

  • Provide feedback and performance evaluations for team members

  • Respond to emergency situations and coordinate emergency response procedures when necessary

  • Employ problem-solving abilities for issue resolution and continuous improvement

  • Maintain records of cleaning activities, schedules, and service operations

  • Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to all team members

  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development

  • Monitor safety protocols and guidelines in all service areas

  • Oversee the maintenance, availability, and proper functioning of all equipment and supplies

  • Collaborate with airport authorities to coordinate seamless service delivery

  • Exceed customer service and safety standards set by PrimeFlight

  • Working under pressure to meet internal and external targets or deadlines

  • Prepare and analyze reports on operational statistics, productivity, and service efficiency

  • Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards

  • May be assigned other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Eligible to work in the United States

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

  • Ability to use electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices

  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means

  • Effective leadership and communication skills

  • Proven ability to supervise teams effectively and handle challenging situations

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory position

  • 1 year of cleaning/wheelchair experience

  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)

  • Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

  • Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable

  • Must be able to push, pull

  • Must be able to reach with arms and grasp with hands

  • Exposure to Biohazards and/or Chemicals

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and kneel

  • Must be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spaces

  • Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels

  • Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms

  • Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
