Summary THIS POSITION IS LOCATED ONSITE AT THE JAMAICA PLAIN, MA CAMPUS UNDER THE CLINIC PRACTICE MANAGEMENT TEAM OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF SERVICE LINE Responsibilities Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. In collaboration with incumbent's counterpart, this position shares responsibility for the compliance and monitoring of trainings and education, both locally and nationally mandated, for all scheduling employees throughout the entire VA Boston healthcare system and works closely with the oversight of compliance and education for clinical management and operations under the Ambulatory Care Operations/Group Practice Management (ACOD/GPM) program. In this role, the incumbent works very closely with the ACOD/GPM staff and administrative/clinical leads in the clinical service to develop local resources and trainings (eg. face to face training, annual refresher course, clinic cancelation, clinic profiles). This position coordinates and tracks the compliance of all phases of trainings for staff with clinical management and operations responsibilities and duties and their direct supervisors throughout the entire medical center, in coordination with employee education, compliance, TMS, clinical services, ACOD/GPM program, and national program offices. The incumbent is responsible for the standardized National tracking tool and ensures compliance for the completion of biannual audits for all scheduling staff, which include 10 scheduling and 5 phone audits, as well as coordination with scheduling supervisors to ensure that remediation is completed, per National policy. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of clinic management and operations related training for mandated staff throughout the medical center. This role provides ongoing tracking and monitoring of the completion of mandatory trainings, in coordination with the employee education and compliance staff for all scheduling staff with access to scheduling keys and menus. OR; Successful completion of an agency-sponsored on-the-job training program may be substituted for qualifying experience, provided it included a formal individualized training plan. Such a training program must have been conducted in an operating health care system and included: Assignments providing a knowledge of basic health system administration philosophies, practices, and procedures, and basic government administrative policies and requirements; Practical assignments providing an opportunity to apply health system administration skills and principles (as the individual progresses, work assignments must be characteristic of the grade level to which he or she is assigned); and Oversight by an experienced health system administrator with periodic evaluation of the individual's progress and appropriate adjustment of the training program.
