Responsibilities for an EHS Intern may include one or more of the following:
Working with team members to assist in day-to-day activities of the department.
Assisting in coordination and preparation of reports, training manuals, and programs.
Performing job hazard analysis, machine guarding, or PPE assessments.
Program, policy, and/or procedure development, review, and/or implementation to include but limited to:
Behavior Based Safety Project – Develop training materials for implementation of a Behavior Based Safety program.
Hazcom Program to include Safety Data Sheet review / update.
Develop a 5S Program for Overhead Crane rigging.
Lockout / Tagout audit of procedures and equipment review / update.
Ergonomic Program
Fall Protection Program
Supporting investigations and data analyses.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate / graduate program or possess a degree from a regionally accredited university.
Excellent communication – both verbal and written skills (in English.)
Ability to be agile, prioritize, and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
Willingness to work as a team player.
