JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for verifying piece part & assembly conformance to the required specifications. Provides a service to support Manufacturing & Engineering as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Verify piece part and assembly conformance per all required specifications. 2. Perform destructive testing as specified. 3. Must be very knowledgeable in the use of micrometers, calipers, comparators, dial indicators, force gauges and non contact measuring equipment. 4. Must be able to interpret part drawings, ASTM specifications, Mil-Std Specifications and various inspection procedures. 5. Must understand and be able to recognize the various geometric symbols and know what they mean. 6. Familiarity with ISO calibration procedures is an added benefit. 7. Will perform first article and 100% full dimensional piece part reports in front of U.S.G. personnel. 8. Must have an acceptable work ethic and attitude. 9. Must be able to explain technical problems in such a manner that is understandable. 10. Will be working with a large range of personnel such as Engineers, Manufacturing personnel, various management resources and representatives from the U.S.G. 11. Must have good working knowledge of Statistical Process Control. 12. Penmanship must be good and legible. 13. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. 14. Regular attendance is required. 15. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. 16. Perform all other duties as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates degree with a preferred minimum of 3 years quality assurance/inspection experience in a manufacturing environment Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
