Army National Guard Units PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (TITLE 32) in Jefferson City, Missouri

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is a GS-1152-07 PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1259000 and is part of the MO Combined Support Maintenance Shop. APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is a Permanent Excepted Service position. This is a bargaining unit position. Responsibilities Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair, using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment. Implements maintenance plans and monitors progress of accomplishments. Makes on-the-spot adjustments to repair priorities necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements. Inputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. Assists supervisory personnel regarding readiness, Class 9 (CL IX) funding, production problems and work planning. Works with other sections within the organization to ensure equipment readiness reports are correct and submitted in time to meet Department of the Army (DA) reporting suspense. Authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair; monitor work priorities, status, and completion of work orders and requisitions; and provide status of repair parts. Studies directives, modification work orders, and regulations as to their application in the unit. Ensures necessary maintenance records are maintained and required reports are submitted to units and higher headquarters in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be MOS qualified within 12 months from date of appointment. Maximum Military Grade - CW3 (W-3) Warrant Officer - Branch 91, 92, or 94 Enlisted - CMF 91, 92 or 94; MOS 88M Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Title 32 National Guard employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training which indicates you can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, and understand the terminology and data pertaining to the repair operations and processes characteristic of a production activity. GS-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 12 months of specialized experience which provided a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of shop production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data; experience assisting or maintaining workflow by identifying problem areas in work delays or stoppages, and schedule workflow in more than one area; and were responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities. Education This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
