Forklift Operator

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a forklift or other common warehouse equipment to move materials from one location to another. Additionally, they will handle paperwork and administrative duties related to shipments.

Skill Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Forklift operation experience.

• Valid specialized license for operating forklifts.

• Ability to use technology, including PCs and scanners, for completing tasks.

• Experience in loading/unloading materials at different points of origin/destination.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with administrative duties associated with shipments.

Skill Education:

Fork Lift: A powered industrial truck used to lift and move materials over short distances within warehouses or storage facilities.

Warehouse Equipment: Tools and machinery commonly found in warehouses such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and conveyor belts used for various material handling tasks.

Transport Materials: The process of moving goods or raw materials from one location to another within a facility or between facilities.

License: An official document granting permission to operate specific machinery like forklifts; typically requires passing a certification test.

Technology (PCs): Personal computers used in warehouses for tasks such as inventory management, data entry, or communication.

Scanners (Technology): Devices used to read barcodes or QR codes on products for inventory tracking or shipping purposes.

Loading/Unloading: The act of placing goods onto vehicles or removing them from vehicles at points of origin/destination.

Shipment: The process of sending goods from one place to another; includes packing items securely, labeling them correctly, and handling necessary documentation.

Pay Details: $18.75 per hour
