Job Overview:

Conducts cardiac testing on patients. 2D Echocardiogram, M-Mode color Doppler. Stress tests include: nuclear stress, stress echocardiograms and cardiopulmonary stress tests. Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms. Holter Monitor hookup.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • One (1) year in patient care or related healthcare experience

Preferred:

  • Graduate of an EKG/Monitor Technician course or schooling preferred

  • Knowledge of basic rhythms and arrhythmias a plus

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • RDCS or RCS Certification is required (or eligibility is required)

  • Current BLS certification required

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Flex Schedule

  • Coverage for day, evening and weekend shifts

Essential Functions:

  • Registers patients by entering anticipated service data into the patient record, verifying medical history

  • Comforts patients by welcoming them to the cardiology suite, answering their questions, and responding to requests

  • Supports physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac disease

  • Completes electro-cardiograms EKGs or ECGs by attaching electrodes to the patient s chest, arms, and legs

  • Reconcile EKG and Holter monitor report for physician read and print face sheets

  • Other duties as needed to manage day to day operation of non-invasive cardiology

  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following asepsis standards

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

  • Participates in unit quality improvement projects.

  • Individual departmental-specific duties as assigned.

Pay Range:

$ 27.00 minimum to $28.50 maximumHourly Rate
