JPMorgan Chase Java AWS Software Engineer III in Jersey City, New Jersey

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial Bank, specifically the Commercial Loan Services Team, you will be tasked with developing innovative solutions that contribute to the advancement of our business and careers. You will be part of a team of dedicated technologists who are committed to enhancing the design analytics, development, coding, testing, and application programming that contribute to the creation of high-quality software and the support of our integration platform. You will communicate regularly with team members and stakeholders, ensuring they understand the importance of comprehensive software development processes such as Agile. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our global network of technologists, leveraging their collective expertise to promote innovation.
Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Designs and Develops key functionalities within the application
Take the ownership of delivery and work closely with all stake holders ( product teams and user acceptance testing teams ) globally to understand the business requirements and do quality delivery
Hands on design and development of technical artifacts
Lead the technical and design reviews and define/Improve processes with in the project by proposing innovative solutions
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages: Full stack Java, SQL, JavaScript, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MQ, Java Multithreading, Security, Performance, Apache and Tomcat
Experience working in one or more databases: Oracle, DB2
Experience with micro services design and implementation using REST APIs
Experience in building applications with microservices patterns and being cloud ready
Knowledge with messaging applications like MQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ
Working proficiency in development toolsets like eclipse, IntelliJ, Bit Bucket
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals,Strong communication skills and working in a team environment
Exposure to cloud technologies and building and deploying micro services on cloud
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
Exposure to cloud technologies - AWS
Experience in application testing and monitoring frameworks - jMeter, AppDynamics, Geneos, Fitnesse etc.
Experience with developing and maintaining applications in Amazon Web Services(AWS) and/or other public/private cloud desirable
Experience with Performance engineering desirable
Working knowledge of Loan IQ/ACBS APIs and data model
Experience working in a financial services environment with knowledge of Loan products and servicing
