JPMorgan Chase & Co. has an opening for a Software Engineer position in Jersey City, NJ. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.DUTIES: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Train and mentor junior developers on the team.REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Tech Lead, Programmer, or related occupation. Requires experience in the following: Utilizing and consuming finance-related Java APIs through a third-party portal at scale; front-end technologies, including Javascript, CSS, and React; back-end technologies such as Java, Python, Maven, and Gradle; building asynchronous applications using Spring Boot's reactive stack and integration with GraphQL; provisioning, administering, and debugging cloud infrastructure technologies including Kubernetes and AWS and utilizing Terraform best practices; asynchronous programming using Apache Kafka or AWS messaging services; building new and maintaining existing architectures at scale; telemetry and usage tracking tools such as Datadog, Cloudwatch, and Splunk; adding automated monitoring and auto-scaling solutions; large enterprise databases and the use of modern technologies such as Amazon Firehose, Kinesis, and Redshift to process data; cybersecurity best practices throughout a modern application stack; and emerging AI technologies and implementing LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation.Full-time.
