JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Jersey City, New Jersey

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, analyze, develop, code, test, debug and document programming to satisfy business requirements. Provide support to the application by analyzing issues, finding root causes of production issues and providing resolution to the issues. Research new technologies, identify and learn best practices, and provide technical guidance to team members. Adapt DevOps model of continuous and automated integration, test and delivery. Work with multiple globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solution across regions. Provide application support and weekday releases.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Developing software or a Microservices environment that deploys as a REST API; Designing and building telemetry and usage tracking solutions using Grafana and Splunk Loggers to improve tool governance and monitoring; Developing application to challenge customers and prevent fraud in all channels using Java 17, Spring Boot, Maven and Jenkins; Building applications that utilizes JSON and parse it to process the transactional data and store the records in Cassandra NOSQL database; Using prem private cloud to deploy the applications; Performing Data Analytics by publishing data from Cassandra into Kafka and processing it downstream to data lake; Preparing low level designs in Confluence; Performing demonstrations of the delivered product to all teams.

Job Location: 575 Washington Blvd., Jersey City, NJ 07310. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

Full-Time. Salary: $146,800 - $185,000 per year.
