Citizens Resilience and Continuity Transformation Manager in Johnston, Rhode Island

Description

The Resilience and Continuity Transformation Manager must have a solid understanding of operational resilience, business continuity planning, alternate workspace recovery and disaster recovery.

In this role, you will possess the ability to quickly comprehend business needs, and translate those needs into requirements, identifying resilience and continuity challenges and developing plans of action and strategies to meet business recovery objectives.

You should have prior operational resilience, business continuity planning, disaster recovery planning and technology experience, inclusive of cloud.

In this role, you will work closely, not only with the Head of Operational Resilience, but with other resilience team members and the business lines. The position will also require communicating with technology partners to integrate recovery solutions, as new technologies are introduced across the organization.

The Resilience and Continuity Transformation Manager will manage a team of Resilience Specialists responsible for:

  • Coordinating, managing and providing oversight of alternate workspace solutions

  • Maintaining all program level documentation inclusive of metrics; and

  • Liaising with the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) office to evaluate and test recovery capabilities of our critical third-parties.

    Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Operational Resilience as the Bank seeks to transform its resilience functions appropriately to adjust to the changing technology and business environments.

  • Assist the Operational Resilience Program manager in establishing an enterprise-wide operational resilience program.

  • Respectfully challenge the status quo and introduce forward-thinking processes and solutions.

  • Identify improvements to current resilience practices and work with practitioners to transform into new ways of working – without disrupting current practices.

  • Coordinate, manage and oversee alternate workspace solutions and testing across the Citizens footprint, including validation of all recovery site infrastructures and capabilities and management of all recovery equipment inventories.

  • Coordinate resilience testing of critical third-party service providers in concert with TPRM.

  • Maintain or create program level documentation inclusive of – but not limited to – Resilience metrics, the Enterprise-Wide Business Continuity Program document; Policies; Minimum Requirements and Procedures.

  • Assist in preparing Executive and Board level presentations or briefings.

  • Research and identify new tools across the Resilience space as necessary.

  • Prepare cost/benefit analyses for new technology or software, if being proposed.

  • Work to develop and maintain relationships and provide resilience advice and guidance across all business lines and technology partners. Liaise and influence staff at a variety of levels, including senior stakeholders within the business lines.

  • Proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions in accordance with policy and process standards. Escalate issues with Management and managing those risks through to resolution, including the required evidence.

  • Provide support to incident response and tabletop exercise planning and facilitation as necessary.

  • Contribute to the establishment of meaningful and measurable resilience metrics.

    Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience with Business Continuity Planning, Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing, Incident Management, Tabletop Exercises and Operational Resilience

  • Experience in planning and supporting Tabletop Exercises and incident response.

  • Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and initiatives with competing priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong collaboration, coaching and influencing skills.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, time management and planning skills

  • Sense of urgency to respond to requests with strict deadlines.

  • Thought provoking; ability to ask questions and probe to gain full understanding of business requirements/needs.

  • Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word

    Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a minimum of 8 years or more relevant Business Continuity experience.

  • Has or working towards a relevant recognized certification in Business Continuity (i.e. ABCP, CBCP) and Cyber Continuity Resilience.

    Hours & Work Schedule

    Hours per Week: 40

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM

    Pay Transparency

    The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $205,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
