Intern - Civil Engineering

We are seeking aCivilEngineering Intern to work on-site at ourJohnstown, PAheadquarters.
Our summer internship program at HFL cultivates future engineering professionals, looking to gain hands-one, real-world experience to enhance their education and professional skills. It's an opportunity for students to get to know us and for us to learn about them.

What You'll Get to Do:
Support a variety of engineering tasks related to civil design.
Learn basic principles of civil design, focused in land development and site surveying.
Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design and survey concepts.
Become an expert with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Perform basic engineering calculations.
Assist in engineering related studies and surveys.
Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams.
Travel to project sites and assist with surveys.
What You'll Need:
Enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including Civil 3D.
Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Academic coursework that is relevant to civil design is preferred.
Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction.
Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required.
