VF Corporation Inventory Clerk in Jonestown, Pennsylvania

Inventory Clerk – 1st Shift

Schedule: Monday – Thursday; 5:30AM – 4PM

Pay: $17.50/hr + 2% Target Annual Bonus

What will you do?

A day in the life of an Inventory Clerk at VF looks a little like this.

Coordinate incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Compile data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.

  • Assist with the order and release of raw materials.

  • Conduct cycle counts and investigations.

  • Support the preparation and issue purchase orders for blanket production material at negotiated prices that meet goals of cost competitiveness.

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization.

  • Report to management as needed.

  • Use computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting.

  • Cycle Counting.

  • Timely resolve order shortages.

  • Create PKMS (WMS) transactions to assure that exception inventory is timely converted to active inventory and available for sale, and, accounted for if unsaleable (e.g., case creating, locked locations, wrong SKU’s, shelf / wave damages, lost inventory, cycle count exceptions).

  • Perform additional support to the Inventory Control department and DC as needed.

  • Commitment to the principle of continuous process improvement.

What do you need to succeed?

While formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 1-2 years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Excellent organizational, communication and grammatical skills with very strong attention to detail.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • An ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage workload to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to become proficient using the Warehouse Management System AS/400 (PKMS).

  • Basic proficiency using desktop and business software applications including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word applications.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Experience in Warehouse Management System AS/400 (PKMS).

Hiring Range :

$16.00 USD - $20.00 USD per hour

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
