A fast growing, well established company is looking for a Sr. Accountant. The ideal Sr. Accountant will join a dynamic accounting team and report to an Assistant Controller. This opportunity is a hybrid position located in So. Ontario, California. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail and strong skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, trive in a fast paced environment and bank reconciliations. This is a permanent / direct permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage high-volume financial transactions, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Apply your knowledge of fixed assets and month-end balance sheet reconciliation

• Leverage your experience with major ERP systems to maintain and update financial records

• Use Microsoft Excel to create and manage financial data, including the use of Vlookup and Pivot Tables

• Apply your skills in account reconciliation to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records

• Leverage your experience in both public and private accounting sectors to manage complex financial scenarios

• Engage in budget management and planning

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in the construction and manufacturing sectors

• Provide timely and accurate financial information to senior management for decision making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred

• Have substantial experience in the construction/contractor industry (ideally)

• Proven track record in the role of a Senior Accountant or similar for at least 3 years.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Extensive knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entries

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, including advanced Excel formulas

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics AX, and other major ERP systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
