POSITION SUMMARY: Supervise related family member of store manager. Assist Store Manager with day-to-day operations. Assist with donation management and cashier duties to include opening and closing the store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in day-to-day operations of the Store.
Assume responsibility for all day-to-day operations in the absence of The Store Manager.
Provide coaching, training and development to the Store employees.
Ensures customer and donor needs are met by maintaining good customer/donor/community relations, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.
In the absence of the Store Manager, coordinate any shift change or team meetings.
Supervise employees in performance of duties to ensure compliance with published directives and guidelines.
Provide training for new personnel on store policies and procedures of The Salvation Army.
In the absence of the Store Manager communicate any personnel issues to the Corps Officer.
Complete all tasks as assigned by the Store Manager, Corp Officer.
Responsible for processing of paperwork as assigned, including any time and attendance notifications.
Ensures Store Merchandising standards are maintained, adequate inventories are on hand, rag outs are completed in a timely fashion, and Store is clean, neat, and organized.
Responsible in Store Manager’s absence to maintain adequate amount of change for each day, adherence to cash handling and safe policies, and banking of cash receipts daily.
Attend Store meetings.
Assist Store Manager in ensuring safety measures are established, maintained, and consistent with The Salvation Army policies and government regulations. All hazards are to be reported to the Store Manager and Corps Officers.
Responsible for the protection of the customers, employees, property, and building.
Implementation of appropriate loss prevention measures.
Other written and verbal duties as may be assigned by the Store Manager, Corps Officer or designate.
