Job Summary: The Development Coordinator will locate and write grant proposals to be submitted to foundations, corporations, and governmental agencies. Manage grant progress, submissions, and due dates. Write grant reports and submit as mandated by grantors. Maintain records regarding grant status and deliverables. Communicate with internal program managers to ensure viability of deliverables to grantors. Identify and expand donor base, aid in donor research and donor database management, donor recognition, and special fundraising events. Promotes positive community presences and mission enhancement utilizing a results-orientated approach to increase public awareness and name recognition for MRC.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide input and assistance in the agency's fund-raising programs, to include the annual giving, major gifts, special gifts, planned giving, memorial and tribute, foundation and corporate contributions.
  • Develop and implement specific campaigns, planned giving, charitable trusts, endowments, and development projects.
  • Assist in the production of annual fundraising events and appeals.
  • Utilize management database to plan, implement, and evaluate specific fund development programs and campaigns; ensuring effective management, review and analysis of donor statistics and information is reported.
  • Responsible for agency grant writing, and to research foundation and governmental awards, prepare proposals, assist in preparation of annual reports, grant proposals and special appeals/projects as needed.
  • Assure the complete and thorough maintenance of all necessary documentation for timely and accurate recording of fund development activities.
  • Stays abreast of current events, news and trends to integrate into agency relationships and opportunities in the community.
  • Staff tabling events that create awareness of the agency.
  • Completes other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
