Stryker Corporation Principal DevOps Engineer in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Stryker Corporation seeks* *Principal DevOps Engineer to configure and administer production environments in the cloud and customer environments. Develop and maintain scripts CI/CD pipeline from development to production. Upgrade live applications with minimum downtime. Collaborate effectively with engineering and other key partners to negotiate necessary code changes. Support engineering with management and upgrade development and quality assurance (QA) environment. Monitor, debug and fix operational issues. Upgrade infrastructure including computer, storage, networking, and application infrastructure components such as databases and webservers. Perform operational benchmarking and scaling. Harden and secure production environment. Manage access to production. Track compliance requirements and ensure the environment supports business needs. Manage new customer provisioning, issue-tracking workflows, and their implementation. Investigate, integrate, and develop tools to automate tasks. Lead incident reviews and work on continuous improvement of operation environments. Partner with engineering team on designing operational metrics in products. Develop, maintain and evaluate tools for enrichment of DevOps tooling, deployment, monitoring, security, patching and auditing for Windows and Linux based software stack. Telecommuting position performed from anywhere in U.S.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 8 years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation maintaining applications and services on the cloud. Employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 6 years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation maintaining applications and services on the cloud. Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Object-Oriented design experience using Java, .Net and C#; System automation, scripting, and deployment tools, using TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Java, and Chef; Building code with CI/CD principles and automated pipelines; Building horizontally scalable, highly available, and highly resilient applications; and managing and organizing a software project's codebase using code repositories.
