GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Manage daily scope of work and maintain responsibility of crew on remediation projects

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage medium to large size projects and execute on the established work plan based on bid specifications
  • Planning, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, ensuring quality of work, consistency across projects, ensuring safety of staff, coordinating with consultants and internal support staff, and communicating with the client and regulators.
  • Day-to-day interaction, as well as presenting information and frequent participation at meetings with our client and regulators will be expected.
  • Positively interface between clients and the often widely dispersed project teams and resources.
  • Develop and plan procedures and programs to meet the specific needs of the company and clients
  • Interact with supervisors and field workers in order to identify best work practices.
  • Operate very large, very heavy, motorized equipment used in earth moving operations, including, but not limited to dozers, scraper, loader, off road trucks, excavator, etc. and other equipment to support a variety of operations
  • Build level and excavate land surfaces using construction equipment
  • Gather and load dirt and waste products from job sites onto trucks; transport to appropriate location
  • May bulldoze hill sides; collect and haul trash, garbage, debris, dirt, sand and gravel
  • May operate earth moving equipment, back-hoe, front-end loader, dump trucks, etc. to perform tasks
  • May operate water tanker and similar equipment for dust control and dirt compaction
  • Use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources
  • Maintain accurate logs and records
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required
  • Interacting with internal team players.
  • Interacting with external clients and regulators.
  • Providing leadership to more junior staff and project managers.
  • Support and comply with all components of the company's safety program
