If you are an enthusiastic, tech-savvy, detail oriented and organized individual, apply now to join this great team.The Assistant Manager supports the manager in overseeing daily operations of the pawnshop, including evaluating and providing loans on items, maintaining accurate transaction records, and ensuring customer satisfaction. In addition to performing the duties of a Pawnbroker, the Assistant Manager supervises and trains staff, ensures compliance with regulations, and manages inventory and merchandise.Essential Functions & Duties:Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving complaints promptlyFacilitate merchandise sales and accurately process cash transactions, ensuring proper change is givenEvaluate items, negotiate loan amounts and terms, handle necessary paperwork, and monitor loan statusesPrice and display forfeited items and purchased inventory, maintaining accurate transaction and inventory recordsSecurely store pawned items, adhere to pawnbroker laws and regulations, and collaborate with law enforcement to report stolen merchandiseKeep the pawnshop clean and organized, assist in developing policies to enhance shop efficiency, and recommend new products or services to attract customersTrain and supervise employees, stay informed on market trends, participate in industry events, and implement best practices for accurate evaluationsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a pawnshop or similar environment and knowledge of pawnbroker laws and regulationsProficiency in merchandise evaluation, appraisal and strong negotiation and customer service skillsCompetence in handling cash and maintaining accurate records, attention to detail and strong math skillsPrevious supervisory or managerial experience preferredCapability to lift up to 30 lbsStarting Wage - $18/hour, depending on experienceSchedule - Full-time, weekend availabilityWhy you want this job:Opportunities for professional growth and developmentEmployee discounts on merchandiseFriendly and supportive work environmentFlexible scheduling to accommodate class schedules if currently enrolled40252https://lcstaffing.com/jobs/assistant-manager/
