KANE COUNTY Sheriff's Office Administrative Assistant in KANAB, Utah

Position is full time (40 hr per week) with benefits. Works under the general guidance and direction of the County Sheriff. Performs a variety of full performance, administrative support and complex clerical duties as needed to expedite the day to day functions of the Sheriff's Office, including, reception functions, accounts receivable, inmate accounting, patrol records, accounts payable or mail service. Performs clerical duties such as searching files, filing, sorting and distributing the facilities mail, answering telephones, relaying messages, receiving, sorting, and distributing supplies, etc... Performs Spillman data entry. Performs general accounting and bookkeeping procedures. Assists in arranging travel for Sheriff and Officers. Maintains an executive calendar for Sheriff and Officers. Assists with organizing and keeping case files. Training will be provided to assist with performance of job duties specific to the Sheriff's Office, such as, use of Spillman and other law enforcement software, BCI screening, and other functions as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Must have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent and have 4 years of experience performing above or related duties or a combination of education and experience. Must have considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures. Must be able to type 40 wpm. May be required to become a notary public. Must have good communication skills. Preference will be given to experienced applicants, however, all applicants will be considered. The official Kane County Application must be submitted.
