Hub International Accounting Services Administrator in Kansas City, Missouri

Primary Role:

The Accounting Coordinator role will be a financial and accounting role focused on developing and assisting our regional accounting resources with the following duties and responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable

  • Support on collection of w9 and supplier enrollment forms from suppliers / vendors.

  • Support on coding and submission of supplier / vendor invoices.

  • Support on auditing and approving supplier invoices in Oracle.

  • Support on auditing and approving supplier invoices via AP Draft report.

  • Support with investigating and addressing any AP issues and request reclass when applicable.

  • Support with investigating vendor inquiries about missing payments.

  • Support on completing Oracle expense reports for non-invoiced expenses.

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Support on printing and mailing client invoices.

  • Support on processing client receipts via FTNI scanner.

  • Support on submitting non-client receipts.

  • Assist with investigation on issues related to client invoicing.

  • Assist with investigation on issues related to client receipts.

  • Carriers Payable/Receivable

  • Support with submitting carrier invoices and statements.

  • Assist with investigation on carrier requests and issues.

  • Support with processing premium finance agreements.

  • Producer / Referral Partner / Sub-Broker Commissions

  • Assist with investigation on producer commission issues.

  • Assist with collection of required referral partner/sub-broker documents.

  • Assist with adding referral partners/sub-brokers to EPIC & BenefitPoint.

  • Assist with auditing and approving referral partner / sub-broker payments.

  • Producer Expenses

  • Assist with processing monthly producer expenses.

  • Assist with distributing monthly producer expense reports.

  • Assist with distributing producer expense reports summary to sales leadership.

  • Financial Controls & Other

  • Assist with reviewing and auditing P&L reports.

  • Assist with investigation on issues related to P&L reports.

  • Assist with annual budgeting process.

  • Assist with surplus lines tax submissions and reconciliations.

  • Assist with investigation on issues related to surplus lines tax.

Qualification Requirements:

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • 3 to 5 years accounting experience including experience with accounts receivable preferred

  • Proficiency in Excel required

Public Speaking/Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively customers and teammates.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a big plus.

Math Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point; follow guidelines on working in BMS (EPIC) for premium efficiency with your team.
