Adecco US, Inc. Machine Operator Assistant in Kansas City, Missouri

Position Overview:

As a Machine Operator in our steel production facility, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery that processes steel products. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and safe production of high-quality steel components. You will work closely with other team members to meet production goals and uphold safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor various steel processing machines, including roll mills, shears, and cutters.

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

  • Set up machines according to production specifications and adjust as needed to maintain quality.

  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.

  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and achieve operational goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or vocational training in machinery or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience as a machine operator in the steel industry or a similar manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.

  • Familiarity with steel processing equipment and safety procedures.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Pay Details: $19.02 per hour
