CenterWell Per Diem Floater Pharmacy Technician in Kansas City, Missouri

The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 KS/MO obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
Location: This is an onsite role that floats between two locations:
Midtown: 301 E. Armour Blvd. Suite 2-East , Kansas City, MO 64111
State Ave: 7527 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66112
Hours: This is a per diem role that provides coverage for full time associates. You must be flexible to work an up to 8 hour shift between 8:30AM- 5:00PM Monday - Friday.
The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 (KS/MO):
Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs.
Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs
Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from the computer.
Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
May operate a cash register.
Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Required Qualifications
Must have an active Kansas AND Missouri Pharmacy Technician license
Previous experience working as a pharmacy technician
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/CenterWell's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
Ability to travel to CenterWell Pharmacy Centers (formerly known as Humana Pharmacy) within the KC metro area.
Preferred Qualifications
National Pharmacy Technician certification- (PTCB or ExCPT)
High School Diploma or equivalent
Immunizations-Certified
BLS/CPR Certified
Spanish-speaking

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$40,000 - $52,300 per year
