MetLife Plan Change Analyst II in Kansas City, Missouri

Role Value Proposition

Evaluates Amendment and/or Group Change Request submissions to ensure all necessary documentation, such as appropriate approvals, request from customer/broker, underwriting and census information, are received in order to process the request. Ensures efficient and accurate change deliverables are met in all required systems including plan master and contracts. Effectively communicates with FSC, Sale Representative, Account/CSC Representatives or broker, to obtain any needed information and set expectations for the process. Delivers correct contract documents with updated Plan Change information to the customer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtains complete Amendment/Group Change Request documentation. Reviews request for accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines and state regulations. Retrieves any missing data from the FSC, Account/CSC representative, broker, or sales representative.

  • Provides deliverables to FSC, Sale Representative, Account/CSC representatives, broker or client such as confirmation letter/email, Certificates, Policy Amendments, etc.

  • Updates all applicable systems manually and accurately.

  • Educates internal and external parties on Group Change Request and/or Amendment submission, procedures and support.

  • Achieves metrics that have been established for the department by management for completion of plan/system revisions.

  • Serves as a learning partner to less experienced team members and partners.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for work instruction and processing review as required. Actively participates in identifying and resolving system and processing defects and brings to the attention of the Plan Change Team Lead(s)/Manager.

  • Proactively anticipates operational problems and identifies opportunities for improvements to avoid those problems.

  • Proactively maintains expertise on all systems and passes necessary training requirements.

  • Acts as primary SME on internal team and some enterprise projects as assigned.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Required:

  • 2+ years of relevant business experience

  • Group Benefits knowledge and/or experience

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated, well organized and flexible with a sense of urgency approach.

  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritizing effectively.

  • Ability to find creative and innovative solutions to business problems

  • High school diploma
