Job Title: Purchasing Agent

Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchasing Agent to manage material procurement in collaboration with our project management team and field staff. The successful candidate will coordinate, schedule, and ensure timely delivery of materials, develop and maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers, and negotiate favorable pricing and terms. Responsibilities include managing procurement constraints, supporting operations with submittals and deliveries, analyzing bulk buying opportunities, and maintaining preferred vendors list. This role also involves working closely with accounting to streamline purchasing processes and collaborating with estimating and project management teams.

Hard Skills

  • 4+ years of purchasing experience

  • 4+ years in electrical field with understanding of electrical construction materials and pricing

  • Experience with material tracking software (we use Remarcable)

  • Ability to read plans and specs for material/equipment procurement

  • Knowledge of ConEst and Bluebeam Revu preferred

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Kansas City, Missouri. The office is near Hyvee arena.

Work Environment

This role requires collaboration with various departments and external partners. The candidate will need to adapt to changing needs and manage multiple tasks effectively. The work environment fosters creativity, analytical thinking, and accountability.
