System One Software Engineer - EDI Developer in Kansas City, Missouri

System One is seeking an EDI Software Developer for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Kansas City, MO. This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining EDI-Data Integration applications and systems to ensure efficient and accurate data exchange with business partners.

  • Design, implement, and manage EDI/Integration transactions and systems to ensure accurate data exchanges.

  • Collaborate with product managers and business analysts to understand requirements and provide EDI/Integration solutions.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI/Integration systems, perform regular maintenance, and ensure optimal performance.

  • Assist in mapping and converting data between various formats and standards.

  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with EDI/Data Integration standards and protocols.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to EDI standards, systems, and procedures.

  • Provide rotational 24x7 on-call support as part of a dedicated team.

    Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in web development using JavaScript, ReactJS and related frameworks.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with EDI/Data Integration systems, particularly with Cleo Integration Cloud.

  • Proficiency in JavaScript and RESTful APIs.

  • Familiarity with EDI standards such as X12, EDIFACT, and protocols like AS2, FTP, SFTP.

    Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Cleo Clarify/VL Trader, IBM’s Gentran/B2B Integrator.

  • Experience with database management systems (SQL, NoSQL).

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile).

  • Experience with cloud development and web services (SOAP/API).
