*Software Engineer

What you'll do... :

Work closely with senior, lead or principal software engineers to develop, customize, configure, test and deploy software components and products that support H&R Block business applications. Own the end-to-end development of Salesforce applications. Create, develop and troubleshoot flows. Create and execute unit tests and address defects, and work closely with the QA, UX and other related teams to ensure consistent understanding of requirements and approach. Participate in code reviews. Assist in building a custom platform with Visualforce, Apex, Lightning Components, and front end. Work on the Controllers, Custom Controllers and Controller Extensions, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and batch schedule to integrate with third party systems. Build back-end systems using middleware tools and event-based integrations. Deploy applications using Copado DevOps.

What you'll bring to the team... :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technologies, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.

Three years of IT experience to include:

  • Development using Apex Classes, Controller Classes, Apex Triggers, Lightning web components.

  • Salesforce.

  • Build and troubleshoot architecture flows.

  • ServiceNow, Workfront, Postman and Jira.

  • Service cloud, Sales cloud, and Experience cloud.

  • Copado DevOps for app deployment.

  • Querying and bulk loading data with Workbench.

  • Java, Visualforce, JavaScript, Web Services (SOAP/REST), Visual Studio, Bitbucket, GitHub, and Jenkins.

  • Data storage in Snapshot.

Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required.

In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus three years of experience and certification, a Master's degree plus one year of experience and certification will be accepted.

This position allows for remote work from anywhere in the U.S.
