Directional Drill Superintendent

Ultimate LLC is immediately hiring Directional Drill Superintendents for projects in the Midwest. The pay range for this role is highly competitive and commensurate with experience. The majority of our projects require a commitment of 45 to 75 hours per week. Superintendent applicants must have a personal vehicle and be prepared for work up to 40+ hours a week. Ultimate LLC provides weekly pay for all employees with no week in the hole.

Ultimate Drill Superintendent Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage horizontal directional drilling projects of all sizes.

  • Conduct pre-walks and white line projects.

  • Supervise the loading, unloading, and transport of construction materials, machines, and tools.

  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of tools and equipment based on job requirements.

  • Verify the location of existing utilities and adjust routes as necessary based on job specifications and easement requirements.

  • Determine the proper drilling fluid additives for specific soil types and conditions.

  • Coordinate and supervise job site clean-up.

  • Provide training and support to new hires and team members.

  • Communicate project progress and challenges to upper management.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Ultimate Drill Superintendent Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in Gas and/or Utilities Construction is preferred.

  • Proven experience in managing directional drilling projects.

  • Ability to travel weekly, up to two weeks or more at a time.

  • Class A CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.

  • Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables is preferred.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods.

  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. regularly.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
